Main Artist:  Carl Soldier of Clay Childs. Army veteran that graduated with two degrees in two years, unveiled his artwork to the world. Artist Carl Childs is an active Artist, Art Instructor & Community Builder. Childs has completed Art Internships at Schiele Museum of Natural History & Arts on Main. Childs uses proceeds from his sales to create workshops, feed children, support libraries, fight cancer, and bring hope to seniors, veterans and the disabled.  Childs has appeared in several newspapers & magazines promoting the arts and conducting exhibits. Childs has written and created several workshops. Childs has created new Continuing Education Art classes at Gaston College, which includes Solo Exhibit I and the textbook by the same title. "I strive to work over 100 hours in my craft every week." said Childs

Childs is an artist who is active in 4 -6 mediums 100+ hour a week.  Childs is an art instructor that writes and creates workshops to build communities.  Childs has completed 80+ Solo Art Exhibits in 1 year, and is author of the book: Solo Exhibit.  Childs has received art scholarships, art internships, painting, 

sculpture, poetry and VFW news awards.  Childs has been in every facet of the media extensively for Military or Art.  Childs has appeared in Soldier's Magazine, The Army's Green Book, ArtSee Magazine, Foundation Magazine, several newspapers in NY,WI,OK,MS,KY, LA, CA and NC.  Previously SFC Childs has appeared on Anderson Cooper 360 twice, CNN headline news, Good Morning America, NPR,  Radio Disney and several local radio and television stations across the country.  Positive energy and a renewed commitment to the arts is evident in the communities that Childs is blessed to touch.
